On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its foundation and just days after Italian cuisine was recognized as UNESCO heritage, the Institute for the Valorization and Protection of Regional Products of Campania IRVAT is taking part, together with its leadership team and partners, in the major annual wine trade fair held in Warsaw. The city is the center of Poland’s wine consumption area and also serves as a gateway to the wine markets of Northeastern Europe.
The expo is dedicated to producers, importers, distributors, sommeliers, and wine lovers, offering opportunities to meet, learn, and discover new business and growth prospects. More than 2,500 wines from 100 exhibitors will be presented, along with seminars, tastings, masterclasses, and many new initiatives planned for 2026.

The IRVAT President Ciro Costagliola, the Vice President Eugenio Gervasio, and Emilia Di Girolamo, Board Member delegated to wine tourism projects, will meet with professionals and industry operators to develop relationships and launch commercial initiatives in these important markets. They will showcase the excellence of Italian traditional products, with a particular focus on those from the Campania Region.
Warsaw is the ideal place to develop business thanks to its geographical position. It represents a dynamic and constantly growing hub for international business and culture, a crucial node in the wine industry, and a key consumption center with strong connections to Eastern Europe and Scandinavian countries. IRVAT aims to seize this important opportunity to strengthen relationships with local commercial partners and engage directly with consumers, closely observing a growing market that demands high-quality products. These are well represented by the partners of the MAVV Wine Art Museum and ELYSIUM, with the support of consultant for the Polish and Eastern European markets, Valentino Laiti and the attendance of Professor of Food Culture at the University of Naples Federico II, Gianni Cicia.
Significant attention will be devoted to the development of wine and food tourism as tools for territorial enhancement and integration between agriculture, culture, and hospitality. In this context, the results of the Campania Food and Wine Tourism Cluster will be presented. It is a project created to protect and promote regional food and wine identity through collaboration among businesses, tourism operators, and local authorities.
This theme aligns with the global vision of Wine Expo Poland, which highlights wine tourism as one of the fastest-growing sectors in international travel. Wine tourism now extends beyond winery visits, connecting mobility, culture, hospitality, gastronomy, and agri-food, with benefits for both local economies and international promotion. At the same time, travel is shifting from fast, checklist-style trips to meaningful experiences focused on balance, well-being, and longevity. This mission is part of IRVAT’s internationalization process, which, through projects in Greece, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Albania, Kosovo, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, the United States, and Canada, aims to develop concrete and shared tools to design integrated strategies capable of fully enhancing the agri-food, cultural, and tourism potential of the territory.
